Loren Steele is no stranger to obscure soundscapes and distorted rhythms. He is, however, more commonly known for italo decor and melodic faring. For relative unknowns EP, however, this dance music laboratory is open for full visitation. From the start with "miro dub", you lose your directionality and cannot sense what's up or down, but it doesn't matter: it is a collection that serves as a mind maze to get you in turn out of your own head and otherwise fixated on the unpredictably of the tracks. What are these tracks? Who are these tracks? Where are they!? Are they not symphonic variations of a central score, or are they completely different from one another? It is relatively clear that some things cannot be determined by a notion of "knowing". What we do know with some clarity is that this work inspires more than just the five W's.
