The Hug is Danish producer Jens Christian Madsen, who primarily works as Tjaere+Fjer (Tar and Feathers) and also serves as one part of post-industrial electronica duo Sporty Jesus. This busy creator of sounds has provided a premiere couple of head-bobbing tracks that leave us asking for much more than what is there. The subtle humor and sweetness found in certain aspects of this project become masked by its downtempo moodiness: it is a dualistic personality, a dark playfulness and morbid curiosity at work here, something that won't hurt us or the ones we love, but something on the spectrum of taboo nevertheless.
